Smoother windows and notifications

Dialogs, panels, menus and notifications now open and close smoothly, and turn off automatically if you prefer reduced motion.

Published

You will notice that windows and messages in featury open and close more smoothly. Dialogs, side panels, menus, tips and notifications now fade and move in and out, so it is easier to follow what changed on the screen.

What to expect

When you open a dialog, a side panel, a menu or a tip, it gently appears instead of popping in at once. When you close it, it gently fades away.

Notification messages at the edge of the screen work the same way. The text fades first, then the message itself leaves the screen.

There is nothing you need to turn on. The movement is part of the interface.

If you prefer less motion

If you have turned on reduced motion in your device or browser settings, featury respects that choice. Animations are turned off automatically, including the sliding of the sidebar, so screens change without extra movement.

You can keep working as usual. Everything appears right away, with no fade or slide.
