Share a direct link to a chat conversation and understand what happens when a link cannot be opened.
You can share a specific chat conversation with a colleague who has access, instead of describing where to find it.
Each conversation has its own permanent link. When you share it, it opens that same conversation directly.
If a link cannot be opened
Sometimes a link will not open. That happens when the conversation no longer exists, or when it belongs to someone else and you do not have access to it.
When that happens, you will see a clear message explaining why, so you know the link itself did not work.
