Place a request on your future map

Put a planned idea on your future map so you can see where it fits and track it to delivery.

Published

You can put a good idea on your future map so you can see where it fits and follow it until it is built.

This is for requests that describe what is coming, not what already exists. If your request qualifies, you will see a Place on map button on the request. It appears for new ideas and for changes to something that exists when they are marked as near-term or longer-term vision.

When you place it, your request shows once on the map, in the area where it belongs. If an older request used to show in more than one place, it now shows only once.

What to expect

After you place it, you can open the future view to see your idea alongside other planned work. As work progresses, the map stays current, so you can tell when the plan becomes part of the product.

If you update the request or its placement no longer looks right, use the refine option on the map. You will briefly see Remapping while it finds the right spot again.

Ideas that are rejected are removed from the future map, so the map only shows what might still happen.
