Empty states and error screens

Empty pages and errors in featury show a clear illustration and tell you what to do next.

Published

Empty pages and errors in featury explain what is happening and what you can do next. You see a short illustration and plain words instead of a blank page or a dry code.

What you see when there is nothing yet

When a list, report, or view has no content, you see a simple hand drawn illustration and a short message. It tells you why the view is empty and what would make something appear there, so you know if you need to add content or just wait for your team.

What you see when something goes wrong

When a page cannot load, you see what went wrong and what to do about it in one short pair of sentences. If a limit asks you to wait, you see how long to wait. You also see a small reference number you can share with support so they can look it up later. Learn more in Understand error messages.

These messages appear in your chosen interface language. See Use featury in your language.

If you type a wrong address

If you open a page that does not exist, featury points you to the nearest real place based on the address you typed. Follow the suggestion to keep working without hunting for the right link.

A note on motion

Illustrations draw themselves when they appear, and the marker in tabs slides between options instead of blinking. If you prefer less motion, featury keeps movement to a minimum for you.
