Ask the assistant from other tools

You can let the tools you already use ask featury questions about your product, without opening the app. Use it to bring product answers into automations, reports, or another assistant your team already works with.

Each question returns the complete answer at once. Answers draw on your code and on the documents your team already wrote, such as readmes and decision notes, so they reflect what you actually built.

How it works

Connect with your personal key. If the key is missing or not valid, you will see what to send and where in the app to create one. See Connect outside tools with personal keys.

Answers also list their sources. You get the documents and product areas the assistant read to answer, so you or your tool can cite or open them. The same source list appears in chat. See Ask about your product.

What to expect with limits

Asking from other tools uses the same daily usage as chat. Each step your tool takes counts on its own, so grouping many steps together does not lower the count.

If you hit a limit, the reply tells you how many seconds to wait before you try again. A reply that says you are out of credits is different from a temporary problem. The first one is cleared by a plan change, the second one is worth retrying.
