Connect external tools with personal keys
Let command line tools, AI assistants, and automations act in featury as you with a personal key.
You can let outside tools work in featury as you, without staying signed in on the web.
Personal API keys are for command line tools, AI assistants, and automations that need to call featury on your behalf. Create a key once, give it to the tool, and its actions count as yours.
You can also tie a key to a specific assistant when you create it. Then everything done with that key is credited to that assistant automatically, with nothing extra to set up in the tool. If you revoke the key, only that assistant loses access.
What to expect:
Forgiving when something is wrong
If a request arrives without a valid key, featury explains what to send and where in the app to create a key.
A value that could never be a key is refused with a description of what a key looks like, so you can spot a copy mistake fast.
Bounded for safety
Each person can have up to 20 active keys. If you reach the limit, featury tells you clearly.
Revoking a key you already revoked confirms it is gone, so you know you are safe even if you repeat the step.
If you use an AI assistant with featury, see Use featury in your AI assistant. To ask questions from other tools, see Ask the assistant from other tools.
