Publish your changelog automatically
Let featury draft each changelog edition on schedule and publish it after your review window, with a hold option when you need more time.
You can let featury publish each changelog edition for you, so updates go out on time even when no one clicks publish. You get a review window to check the draft, and it goes live by itself when the window closes.
How it works
Set your changelog to draft on a schedule and publish itself after a review window. The draft states in plain language when it will go out, and the draft shows its deadline. Anyone who can publish can hold the draft to stop the wait and publish by hand instead.
Your first edition, and any edition while your public page is paused, always waits for a person. That way nothing goes public before you are ready.
Control the timing
You choose how long the review window lasts, from a few hours to 1, 2, 3, or 7 days. Use a short window of hours if you review in the morning and ship by evening.
You also choose the hour of day when drafts are written and when automatic editions go out. Both start at 07:00 UTC, so nothing changes unless you change it. If your chosen publish hour has already passed when the draft lands, the edition goes out the next day at that hour, so you always keep time to review.
What to expect
When a draft is ready, the notice says when it will publish itself. When the window closes and it goes live, the people who could have held it get a message in featury and by email with a link to read it.
You can still name each edition, edit the text while it is a draft, and correct it after it is live.
