Connect your assistant by signing in
Connect an outside assistant to featury by approving it on a sign in page instead of copying a key.
You can link an outside assistant to featury without copying a key by hand. It is a simpler way to let an assistant read your product data and answer questions about it.
When the assistant offers sign in, it sends you to a featury page. You see what is asking for access and you approve it there. The connection is then created for you automatically.
If your assistant runs on a machine with no browser, it shows a short code instead. You enter that code in featury to review and approve the request.
What to expect
Each connection works as your own personal access, tied to you. You can see it in your account and you can remove it at any time. Removing it stops that assistant from reaching featury with that access.
Connections from assistants that offer more than one way to sign in now complete normally.

- New API keys can be issued in an agent's name: everything done with the key counts as that agent's work, and revoking the key retires exactly that agent's access.
- AI coding tools that connect through the API are remembered by their own name, so their work no longer reads as the human who owns the key.
