Spot duplicate requests

featury flags reworded duplicates when you file a request, so you can merge or dismiss them.

Published

You do not need a list full of the same idea written five different ways. When you file a request, featury checks live requests for a match, even if the wording is different.

If something similar already exists, you will see it as a Possible duplicate suggestion. Suggestions can appear on the request detail and in the confirmation shown right after you file.

You can review each suggestion and decide what to do next.

  • Merge the requests together if they describe the same need. Merging confirms the duplicate link automatically.
  • Dismiss the suggestion if the requests are genuinely different. A pair you dismiss will not be suggested again.

This keeps your request list clean without the risk of combining ideas that should stay separate.

To combine requests yourself, see Merge duplicate requests together. To learn how to file a request, see Capture bugs and ideas and track them.
