Manage workspace members and roles
Control access to your workspace by giving each member a role and managing who can edit or remove others.
You can control who can do what in your workspace by giving each person a role.
Use roles when you want some teammates to manage everything while others only view or build. Each role decides what a person can do, such as creating products, inviting and managing members, connecting repositories, and generating reports.
How roles work
Every member has one role: owner, admin, manager, engineer, or viewer. Owners have the most access, viewers have the least. You can invite new people from the Members page with the same invite flow you see elsewhere in the product. To learn more, see Invite people to your workspace.
Who you can change or remove
You can edit or remove someone only if their role is lower than yours. You cannot change a person with the same role as you, you cannot change yourself, and you cannot change the owner.
If you do not see the option to edit or remove someone, that person has an equal or higher role than you. Ask an admin or the owner for help.
