Keep product areas organized

Keep your product map clean as featury groups narrow areas together, fixes unclear names, and moves open requests along.

Published

As your product grows, your map in featury can split into many small areas that are hard to scan. Regrouping keeps it clean, so you can see the big families of features at a glance.

How regrouping works

featury watches the number of areas on your map. When too many narrow ones build up, it groups the ones that belong together and fixes names that are misleading. You do not need to clean this up by hand.

You can also tidy the map yourself at any time. Use the Regroup areas button to group narrow areas into the families they belong to and rename ones that are misnamed. You can add a short direction for what to focus on, for example areas related to agents.

While regrouping is running, the button shows Regrouping... so you know work is still in progress. Your map keeps updating on its own until the merges arrive. This is true whether you started regrouping yourself or it started on its own.

What happens to your requests

When areas are merged or renamed, open requests move with them. If a request was in an old area, you will now find it under the new area. Nothing gets stuck under an area that no longer exists.
