Branded emails on self-hosted

If you host featury yourself, sign in, invite, and notification emails send with your branding in an encrypted and reliable way.

Published

If you run featury on your own servers, your product emails come from you.

Sign in codes, invites, and notifications arrive with your branding and your language, not generic templates from the sign in service. That helps people recognize your mail and trust it.

What to expect:

  • Mail that needs a login only sends over an encrypted connection, so credentials and content stay protected.
  • If your mail server stops responding, featury stops waiting quickly instead of hanging for minutes.
  • If mail is not set up, featury says so clearly at startup instead of failing quietly later.

Sign in and account emails now deliver reliably again. A recent fix resolved an issue where a credential change could silently stop these emails, and where a saved mail request could be replayed to send mail again.

If you invite teammates or send notifications, check that mail arrives as expected after you configure your server. For how people sign in and join, see Sign in and stay signed in and Invite people to your workspace.
