Request a change to an existing feature
Ask for an alteration, redesign, or removal of something that already exists in your product.
You can now ask for a change to something your product already does. Use it when you want to alter, redesign, or remove an existing part of the product instead of asking for something completely new or reporting something broken.
featury keeps three kinds of requests so your intent stays clear from capture to delivery.
Which kind should you choose
- Idea. You want something new that does not exist yet.
- Bug. Something is broken and does not work as it should.
- Change. Something exists, and you want it to work differently, look different, or go away.
If you are not sure, describe what you see and what you want instead. featury will listen to your words and pick the kind that fits. You can learn more in Capture bugs and ideas and track them and Log bugs and ideas directly from chat.
What to expect from a change
A change has its own icon, so you can spot it in lists and reports. It also has its own reference code that starts with change, for example for a login flow update. You can copy and share it like any other request. See Copy a request's reference code.
While a change is waiting, its status reads as Requested. Ideas read as Idea and bugs read as Reported in that same place, so you always know what kind of work is waiting.
After that, a change moves through the same path as other requests. You can discuss it, track it to delivery, and get notified when it is done.
